A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
ACCEPTING THE COMPLETION OF THE RICARDO LARA LINEAR PARK
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCESS THE
RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, on November 4, 2014 Council awarded the Linear Park
construction contract to CS Legacy Construction Inc; and
WHEREAS, the project was funded by a grant from the California State
Parks' Office of Grants and Local Services (OGALS) and the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the Park started on December 1, 2014,
and was completed on January 27, 2016. Staff conducted the final inspection on
March 24, 2016 and found that all park improvements have been completed in
accordance with the project plans and specifications; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost of the Park is $4,750,705.04 and is
distributed as follows:
• Construction contract amount $4,683,273.78
• Change orders $ 67,431.26

Total $4,760,706.04
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL DOES HEREBY DETERMINE
AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby accepts the
Ricardo Lara Linear Park Project as complete in accordance with contract
documents and authorizes the City Engineer to process the recordation of the
Notice of Completion.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution
