District Clerk RESOLUTION NO.77-19 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR 1976 STATE GRANT MONEYS (MONTE BELLO OPEN SPACE PRESERVE ACQUISITION PROJECT) WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the State, Urban, and Coastal Park Bond Act of 1976, which provides funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring lands and for develop- ing facilities for public recreation and historical pur- poses; and WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state, setting up necessary pro- cedures governing application by local agencies under the program; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications prior to submission of said applications to the state; and WHEREAS, said applications contain assuranced that the applicant must comply with; and • WHEREAS, the applicant agency will agreement with the State of California for and/or development of the project; enter into an the acquisition NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors hereby: 1. Approves the filing of an application for 1976 state grant assistance; and 2. Certifies that said agency understands the assur- ances in the application; and 3. Certifies that said agency has or will have suf- ficient funds to operate and maintain the project; and 4. Certifies that said agency has reviewed and under- stands the General Provisions contained in the sample state/ local agreement; and 5. Appoints the General Manager as agent of the District to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to applications, agree- ments, amendments, payment requests, and so on which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
