~95-268 and ~96-281
~, by Resolution ~95-268, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
retained the legal serviges of Robert A. Hedesh ("Hedesh") in connection
with the defense of an action titled Jacobs v. Borough of Carteret; and
V~IREAS, Resolution g~95-268 was amended by Resolution ~96-281 to increase
the amount to be exp~nded in connection with this matter; and
WR{EREAS, said defense required more services than originally anticipated,
specifically in that additional court time was required.
NOW, TH]~J~-OREBEITRESOLVEDby theMayor and Council that the amount
of funds to be expended in connection with the defense of the referenced
matter is increased by $1300.00 and the cost shall not exceed $14,800.00
in total.
BE IT FUR~RESOLV~I) that this amendment is made without competitive bids
in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5 (1)(a) due to this specialized and
professional nature of the service.
BE IT ~RESOLV]~) that notice of this action shall be published in
The Home News Tribune on April 7, 1998.
