A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA,
CALLING A CLOSED SESSION TO CONFER WITH LEGAL COUNSEL REGARDING
ONE (1) MATTER OF EXISTING LITIGATION: BILLIEJO PONCE DE LEON & RUEBEN
PONCE DE LEON V. CITY OF CARSON, LASC CASE NO. TC- 022460
THE CITY OF CARSON HEREBY FINDS AND RESOLVES:
Section 1. Pursuant to Government Code § 54956.9(a) and based on advice from the
City Attorney, the city of Carson determines that a closed session should be held to confer with
or receive advice from the City Attorney regarding one (1) matter of existing litigation involving
the city, the discussion of which in open session would prejudice the position of the city. The
title of this litigation matter is: Billie Jo Ponce De Leon & Rueben Ponce De Leon v. City of
Carson, LASC Case No. TC- 022460.
Section 2. A closed session of the City Council of the city of Carson, California,
shall be held forthwith, in recess from this regular meeting, pursuant to Government Code §
54956.9(a), regarding the matter referred to in Section 1 hereof.

number of members of the City Council is five; that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution No.
09 -080 was duly and regularly adopted by said Council at a regular meeting duly and regularly held
on the 21st day of July, 2009, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote:
