• AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE RICHI,AND HILLS CODE OF ORDINANCES, Cf-IAPTER 3, SECTION 1:Ij
BUILDING CODE, RELATING TO AMENDMENTS; PERMIT FEES, AND PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE;.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS:
THAT; CHAPTER 3, SECTION 1, Building Code, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Richland
Hills, Texas is hereby amended by adding subsection C. to read as follows:
C. Chapter 3, Section 304(a), Permit Fees of the Uniform Building Code, 1982 Edition,
is hereby amended to read as follows:
(a) Permit Fees - New Construction
1. For the first one thousand square feet of any building, the rate of 25~ per
square foot, per story.
2. For the next one thousand square feet, the rate of 15~ per square footl, per
story.
3. For all over two thousand square feet, the rate of 10~ per square foot'' per
story.
4. That the fee to be charged for unsealed buildings, such as accessory buildings,
oven garages, warehouses, etc., shall be at the rate of lOG per square foot.
The minitroum fee shall be $10.00.
(b) Repairs, Alterations and Additions
• The fee shall be $15.00 for each $1,000. or fraction thereof of construction
cost. Construction cost shall include materials and labor. Donated labC>r
shall be priced at a dollar amount cowarable tc? wages paid for similar work.
(c) Moving or Demolition
1. For moving or demolition of any building or structure, less than 1p0
square feet in size, the permit fee shall be Five ($5.00) Dollars.
2. For moving or demolition of any building or structure, over 100 square
feet in size, the permit fee shall be 10~ per square foot.
(d) Other Inspections and Fees
1. Inspections outside of normal business hours (minimum charge two hours)
$25.00 per hour.
2. Reinspection fee assessed under provisions of Section 305 (g)--$15.00 each.
3. Inspections for which no £ee is si~ecifically indicated--$15.00 per hour--
(minimum charge - one hour).
4. Additional plan review required by changes, additions or revisions to
approved plans---$15.00 per hour (minimum charge one hour).
SAVINGS CLAUSE: If any section, subsection, or sentence, clause or phrase of this ordi-
nance is for any reason held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such decision
or decisions shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
