Nellie suggested that the event should be mission driven—promote art within the community and have a local focus. Staff suggested that criteria include compensation for any participating artists. Nellie feels like we should capitalize on what we have accomplished (i.e. an arts event surrounding the first blow of the Mill Whistle). Susan suggested an art event involving wood as a tie to the Mill Whistle project, perhaps a demonstration and auction of wood carvings, etc. Dawn suggested that we do a raffle or auction of one item associated with the Mill Whistle. An event like "Design and Dessert" done with Susan Madacsi was considered and supported. Inquiring about availability of artist, space such as the Glass House, and ticket numbers are next steps. Dawn will inquire about availably of the Glass House.
