April 21st, 1936.
A special meeting of Council was held today a t 4:00 p. m. and
was attended by Mayor Bright, who presided, and Councilmen Logan,
Sharpley, Lovell and Blumenthal. Also by Carl Mendel, Agent for
Peter Kekenes, Miss Eloise E. Glatigney, Mrs. C. A. Miller and
Mrs. 1. D. LaRoche. Also written petitions from Morris Siotin for
himself and for L. Bluestein, Geo. W. Barthiemess, !•ors. Geneive A.East,
all of whom appeared to protest against the high assessment on their
properties.
All of the petitions were heard and as to Peter Kekenes,
Mrs. I. D. LaRoche and Miss E. E. Glatigney the petitions ware re-
fused; as to Mrs. C. A. Miller assessment on improvements on her lot
part of 69-7 -4 was reduced to $2,000.00; as to L. Bluestein, assessment .
on his improvements on lot Sec. 10 of Beach lot 110 - -5 was reduced
to $201.00; as to Morris Slotin, assessment on improvements Sec. 5,
Beach lot 103, W -5, was reduced to $5,000.00; as to Mrs. Geneive A.
East, on lot 10 a -b, W -3, assessment was reduced to $2,500.00; as to
Geo. 7. Barthlemess petition refused.
There being no further business Council adjourned subject to
the call of the ayor.
