A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, AMENDING
EXISTING CONTRACT WITH CIVIL SOURCE IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$14,700 FOR THE DESIGN OF WATER MAIN LINES ON WISCONSIN AVENUE AND
CORNISH AVENUE; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO MAKE THE
NECESSARY FUND TRANSFERS AND APPROPRIATIONS
WHEREAS, on January 19, 2016, the City Council awarded a contract to Civil
Source for design services in the amount not to exceed $44,600 for the design of
Wisconsin Avenue; from Long Beach Boulevard to State Street, Sequoia Drive; from
Long Beach Boulevard to State Street, Michigan Avenue; from Long Beach Boulevard
to State Street, and Cornish Avenue; from Le Sage Street to Shirley Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the water lines on Wisconsin Avenue and Cornish Avenue are in
need of replacement as they were built around 1942 and may be susceptible to breaks
and leaks; and :
WHEREAS, It would be economically beneficial for the City if the water main lines
and the street improvements were designed simultaneously since the design of the
water lines will not take much additional time to complete, and will be integrated as part
of the street improvement design; and
WHEREAS, the design of the water lines will be funded by the Water Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves the contract amendment to
Civil Source for the for design services in the amount not to exceed $14,700 for the
design of the water lines on Wisconsin Avenue; from Long Beach Boulevard to State
Street and Cornish Avenue; from Le Sage Street to Shirley Avenue
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the agreement between
the City and Civil Source in a form approved by the City Attorney.
Section 3. That the City Manager or designee' is authorized to make the
following funds appropriation and transfer in the amount of $14,700 as follows:

Section 4. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
