AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF RICHLAND
HILLS, TEXAS, CHAPTER 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS, SECTION
14: PARK BOARD; PARAGRAPH C, TERMS OF MEMBERS; BY
PROVIDING THAT TERMS OF OFFICE OF PARK BOARD MEMBERS
SHALL BE CONCURRENT WITH THE TERM OF OFFICE OF THE
MAYOR; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND ORDAINING
OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS,
TEXAS.
I.
Chapter 1, Section 14, of the Code of Ordinances, City of Richland
Hills, Texas is hereby amended by rescinding the present paragraph
C, TERMS OF MEMBERS and substituting a new paragraph C, TERMS OF
MEMBERS as follows:
SECTION 14: PARKS AND BEAUTIFICATION ADVISORY BOARD
C. TERMS OF MEMBERS
Places on the Board shall be numbered one (1) through
twelve (12), and shall be for a two (2) year term,
which term shall be concurrent with the Mayor's term of
office. Terms of all present members of the Board
shall end on May 31, 1988. Future appointments shall
begin from and after such date except for
appointment(s) of place(s) for unexpired terms.

SAVINGS CLAUSE: If any section, subsection, or sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid by a court
of competent jurisdiction, such decision or decisions shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance.
II.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall become effective and shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage.
