A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH MUNITEMPS
FOR TEMPORARY STAFFING SERVICES FOR A NOT -TO- EXCEED AMOUNT OF
$60,800
WHEREAS, the Department of Development Compliance & Enforcement
Services has the following position: Planning Manager; and
WHEREAS, this position is essential to the operation of Department of Development
Compliance & Enforcement Services (i.e. supervision of subordinate staff and the
opportunity to delegate the day -to -day functions and allow the Director to focus' on the
more complex and significant issues. The Planning Manager position will enhance the
operation by working in a supervisory capacity and ensure the efficient operation of the
Division); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Manager position is vacant; and
WHEREAS, difficulty in filling the position through the City's recruitment process
temporary staffing is needed; and
WHEREAS, Section 6 -3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal Code authorizes the City
Council to dispense with formal bidding requirements by 4 /5ths vote, when the services
may be acquired more economically and efficiently through the use of an alternate
procedure.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to approve an agreement
for temporary staffing services with Muni Temps, with a not -to- exceed amount of
$60,800, approved as to form by the City Attorney,
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
