A REQUEST FROM INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (IYF) FOR
CONSIDERATION OF A FEE WAIVER FOR RESERVED USE OF
VARIOUS FACILITIES AT LIVE OAK PARK FOR A CHINESE CAMP
JUNE 25-27,2012

B. REQUEST FROM INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (IYF) FOR
RESERVED USE OF THE PERFORMING ARTS PAVILION AND PARTS
OF TEMPLE CITY PARK FOR A CULTURAL FESTIVAL ON JULY 6-7,
2012 AND CONSIDERATION OF A FEE WAIVER FOR RESERVED USE
OF THE FACIL TIES AT TEMPLE CITY PARK
The Commission approved the request for reserved use of the
Performing Arts Pavilion and surrounding areas of Temple City Park for a
Cultural Festival from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. on July 6 and 7, 2012. The
Commission denied the request for a waiver of the fees, in the amount of
$1,680, for use of the facilities, but approved a reduction in the fees to
$880 plus the required security deposit Maintenance staff will be
assigned and be on duty in support of the event
5. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
A The Commission received and filed the Parks and Recreation Director's
Report for June 2012.
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to review the Parks and Recreation Commission actions
of their meeting of June 20, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2011-12 City Budget.
