A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APPROVING THE CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL ACTION PLAN AND FUNDING
ALLOCATIONS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
(CDBG) AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP (HOME) GRANT FOR
PROGRAM YEAR 2017
WHEREAS, in order to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
and HOME Investment Partnership Grant (HOME) funds, the Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD) requires cities to submit a Consolidated Annual Action
Plan which serves as a planning document, an application for federal funds, a strategy
to be followed in carrying out CDBG and HOME funded activities and a basis for
assessing performance; and
WHEREAS, the City expects to have $1,208,105 in CDBG and $349,432 in
HOME funds for a total of $1,557,537 in federal funds available for Program Year 2017
(PY17), to carry out goals set in the City's 5 -year Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood's Community Development Block Grant
Advisory Commission has conducted the required Public Hearings to obtain citizen input
on the draft Consolidated Annual Action Plan for PY17; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has reviewed the draft PY17 Consolidated
Annual Action Plan and taken into consideration public comments /input relating to
Lynwood's community development and housing needs.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council approves the PY17 Consolidated Annual
Action Plan, and any amendments made at the May 3, 2016 City Council meeting.
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council approves the following allocations and
activities for PY17, with the use of CDBG and HOME grant program funds:

Section 3. This Resolution authorizes the required submittal of the PY17
Consolidated Annual Action Plan and CDBG and HOME funding applications and
certifications to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 5. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
