Attendees: Diane Schleicher, Barry Brown, Paul Wolff, Bill Nicholson, Eddie Crone,
George Reese, Brannyn Allen and Bonnie Kline
Meeting began at 5:30pm.
Approved minutes from the August 14, 2008 meeting.
I. 12TH TO 15TH STREET DRAINAGE ENGINEERING PROPOSAL
a. Design and Construction Services – Not to Exceed $37,000
1. Permit from DNR for the work on the tide gates may be the only
hold up on this job. Construction should begin by January of 2009.
Barry Brown motions to approve, given it does not cost more than
$37,000 and 45 days to deliver. Paul Wolff seconded.
II. SOUTH END STREETSCAPE PROJECT
a. Review Two-way traffic layout
1. The committee discussed different options with Bill Nicholson
about the roadway, parking and the small compactor with recycling
placement.
b. Tybrisa to Izlar sidewalk replacement on Butler Ave.
1. Bill Nicholson shares his 1st sketches with the committee and
options and ideas were shared.
III. George mentions that the sod originally planned at the Ft. Screven will not work
due to the season. It is agreed that seeding is a better option for now and sod
could be considered in the spring.
