HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance No. 588-88 10-24-1988 ORDINANCE NO. 588 • AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1, SUBSECTION E, "AMBULANCE FEES AND CHARGES" OF SECTION 12, "AMBULANCE SERVICE" OF "GENERAL PROVISIONS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS TO ENUMERATE AMBULANCE FEES AND CHARGES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, THAT, I. That Chapter 1, Subsection E "Ambulance Fees and Charges" of Section 12 of Chapter 1, Code of Ordinances, City of Richland Hills, Texas, as amended be hereby amended to hereafter be and read as follows: E. AMBULANCE FEES AND CHARGES The total fees and charges for the use of the City of Richland Hills, Texas ambulance shall be as follows: (1) Resident of Richland Hills: $ 250.00 • (2) Non-Resident of Richland Hills: $ 350.00 (3) Charge for Aid, but no transport, Resident: $ 50.00 (4) Charge for Aid, but no transport, Non-Resident: $ 100.00 (5) Additional fee for transportation to destination outside of Tarrant County. $ 100.00 II. SAVINGS CLAUSE. That Chapter 1 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Richland Hills, Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as amended by this ordinance. III. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are • severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid or unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section. IV. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by the Richland Hills City Charter and the laws of the State of Texas.
