LEVY’S PROPERTY A Bill Lovett says he went to see the property last week while it rained. He said the water in the street was up to 2” above the curb but it appeared as though the berm on Mr. Levy’s property prevented it from flooding the yard. B. Bill Nicholson suggests using a small pump when water is already standing in the street. C. Paul Wolff asks HGBD to find a cost effective solution that will work for everyone affected. II. 14th STREET DRAINAGE A. Peter Hand Easement Status – still pending B. Georgia Power and ATT Utility Relocates 1. Next Tuesday there is a meeting regarding this issue that GA Power and AT&T are attending. C. BRW Price Extended through May 7th D. 1501 Chatham Avenue Piping 1. Survey crew will work on Tuesday 2. Bill, Diane and Kathryn will meet next Friday III. UPDATE ON THE PORTABLE BATHROOM BIDS A. Received no bids B. Royal Flush Revised Rental Proposal for 2009 $15,600.00 C. Bonnie Kline will call vendors to get purchase prices individually and as a package of several portable restrooms. IV. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT A. Grit Removal & Odor Control 1. BRW Shop Drawings Submitted and the City Approved 2. Equipment Delivery Mid-May a. Bill Lovett explains that BRW is working now, but they will have to wait until equipment is delivered to proceed any farther. 3. Change Order for OSHA Approved Ladder a. George Reese says he would prefer to have a ladder and have the employees use a harness due to the depth of the manhole. C. Effluent Redirection Piping 1. $56,307.00 Change Order a. Bill Lovett will ask the contractor for a breakdown of the cost. D. Watershed Assessment 1. Data Received 2. Submittal to EPD before December 2009 E. Contractor Locate 1. Bill Lovett says that the Contractor (BRW) emailed them saying that George Reese requested the contractor to locate valves. This work is not a part of the agreed contract. BRW says it will cost $250.00 + Materials + 15%. The city has not yet authorized this work or the cost. V. STORMWATER ENTERPRISE FUND A. Workshop Scheduled for April 25th from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. At 6:29 p.m. Barry moved to adjourn the meeting. Paul Wolff seconded. These minutes were respectfully submitted by Jackie Cary.
