BOROUGH OF CARTERET AND REPEALING THE RESIDENCY
REQUIREMENTS FOR BOROUGH EMPLOYEES
BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret that
existing Language contained in Chapter 38 5 of the Borough Code of the Borough
of Carteret is hereby deleted.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the following shall be added as the entire
text of Chapter 38-5:
Except and unless permitted or required by law employees of thc Borough of
Carteret ("the Borough") shall reside within the Borough at thc time they are
appointed to their employment position and thereafter for a continuous period of
one (1) year l¥om the date of said appointment.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that this ordinance shall be effective
immediately.
