SPECIAL INFRASTRUCTURE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
April 16, 2009
5:30 p.m.
Attendees: Paul Wolff, Diane Schleicher, Barry Brown, Charlie Brewer, Joe Wilson
Old Business:
I. Update on Portable Bathrooms for both South End and North End with Price
List, Options and Delivery Dates on Different Models.
Received pricing for currently in-stock ADA+2 model
Base 35,000

Total $44,970
There are enough funds in the Community Development budget to
purchase two restrooms. The City would like to purchase four.
Diane Schleicher says she will offer to purchase the ADA+2 model
without the solar option and will explore purchasing three others. Diane
will get individual pricing as well as bulk pricing. Other options to be
inquired about are: energy efficient lighting or skylights, recycled water,
motion sensor, no hot water heater, 3” pipe and no holding tank.
II. Follow-up to the Recommendations of the Infrastructure Committee in
Response to the Request of a Property Owner on Lovell for the City to
Relocate the South End Business District Compactor on Lovell Avenue to
Inlet Avenue.
Notices were Hand-delivered to Compactor Users Regarding the
Neighborly Use of the Compactor.
Modifications were made to the Metal Door of the Compactor to Reduce
the Noise. DPW is to build a Structure over the Compactor’s Hydraulic
Motor to Reduce the Noise. Will consider making the same modifications
to the compactor on Atlantic Avenue.
