A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE SPECIAL PROJECTS MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR THE CALIFORNIA BEVERAGE
CONTAINER RECYCLING CITY /COUNTY PAYMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code section 48000 et seq. the
Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has established
various payment programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish
procedures governing the administration of the payment programs; and
WHEREAS, CalRecycle's procedures for administering payment programs
require, among other things, an applicant's governing body to declare by resolution
certain authorizations related to the administration of the payment program.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: - -
Section 1. That the City of Lynwood is authorized to submit an application to
CalRecycle for any and all payment programs offered.
Section 2. That the Public Works Special Projects Manager, or his /her
designee, is hereby authorized as Signature Authority to execute all documents
necessary to implement and secure payment.
Section 3. That this authorization is effective until rescinded by the Signature
Authority or this Governing Body.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
