Approve the minutes of the previous meeting

Wolff seconded.
New Business:
I. Addition of Stairs for Two of the 14th Street Cross-overs
A. Currently the cross-overs between 14th & 15th Streets have ramps that go
north-ward; the committee would like stairs that go south-ward. Joe Wilson
estimates at total cost of $750 for each cross-over, if the Public Works
Department does the labor in house. The funds would come from the
Infrastructure Budget Line Item. Charlie Brewer and Paul Wolff both agree it
would be in the best interest of the City to move forward with the project.
Old Business:
I. 14th STREET DRAINAGE
A. Peter Hand Easement
1. Inman Beasley explains that Bubba Hughes (City Attorney) is
working on getting the easement signed by Peter Hand.
II. FT. SCREVEN WATERLINE
A. North Campbell Waterline
1. Inman Beasley spoke with Matt Broom (Contractor) who says that
they will hold their unit prices. The final quantities will determine
if the City should re-bid or make a change order with the current
contract. If the City decides to re-bid they will also have to pay for
services from HGBD.
B. Coupon Status
1. The locates are completed. The contractor will need to tap the line
to see if they can cut it off. The Contractor is working at their
expense to resolve the problem.
III. PAVING SCHEDULE
A. Joe Wilson gave out a tentative paving schedule. (Weather permitting)
The schedule is currently available on the City Website as well as Channel
7. The committee would also like to use the Reverse 911 system as an
extra mode of notification for the residents and post a notice on the
bulletin board at City Hall.
IV. GIS TREE INVENTORY
A. Joe Wilson describes that a grant from RDC will be used to hire an
Arborist to inventory all trees on City Right-of-Ways. The inventory will
be placed in the GIS Locate to show location, species, age, size, condition,
and value of each tree. This inventory will benefit the City by providing
information for FEMA in the event of a disaster, tree permits, and
predicting maintenance costs.
Charlie Brewer motioned to adjourn and Paul Wolff seconded.
There may be a quorum of City Council members present which would constitute a
meeting.
These minutes were respectfully submitted by Jackie Cary.
