RESOLUTION NO. 2002-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE
REQUESTING NEVADA COUNTY TO CONTINUE COLLECTION OF PARCEL
CHARGES FOR SOLID WASTE SERVICES
WHEREAS, Nevada County has requested that the Town consent to the
implementation of parcel charges for solid waste services within the Town limits; and
WHEREAS, parcel charges for single family service have previously been
authorized as the primary funding source for solid waste collection services; and
WHEREAS, Nevada County in their request to the Town to consent to
implementation of the parcel charge has indicated that the parcel charge will be $104.46
for a residential unit.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE
TOWN OF TRUCKEE to authorize the Nevada County Board of Supervisors to continue
a parcel charge for solid waste collection services for 2002-2003 within the Town
corporate limits for single family units.
The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a Regular Meeting of the Truckee
Town Council, held on the 16th day of May, 2002 by Councilmember Schneider who
moved its adoption, which motion being duly seconded by Councilmember Susman was
upon roll call carried and the Resolution adopted by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Schneider, Susman, McCormack, Vice Mayor
Owens, and Mayor Florian.
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
