The drawback for the location is that the vehicle parked in the parking lot will probably back into the rear of the trailer and damage it sometime in the future. The positive to the location is that the City gains about three to four legal parking spaces. (We don’t gain exactly the spaces that were drawn on the presented proposed plan because they were laid out in the wrong direction) If the city moves the restroom to the end of 15th Street in the parking lot (in front of the cross-over) with the porches and stairs facing outwards, and this move would cost an estimated $7,500 . You end up losing parking spaces at that location, but trading them for the three to four spaces at the old location, so that is a neutral impact. You also cover up a sewer man hole, but John Dowel says that the sewer line is accessible from other manholes. The possible negative impact is having a restroom closer to the pier and MSC restroom when you need restrooms facilities for the people coming off the beach further North in the parking lot. II.
