A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE $187,400 FROM THE
UNAPPROPRIATED PROP. C FUND TO FERNWOOD AVENUE AND BULLIS ROAD
TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, on March 1, 2016, the City Council awarded a contract to Elecnor
Belco Electric, Inc. for the Fernwood Avenue and Bullis Road Traffic Signal
Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the intersection of Fernwood Avenue and Bullis Road has exceeded
its capacity to through traffic, turning movements and heavy pedestrian traffic generated
by the new Linear Park; and
WHEREAS, Prop. C funding is restricted to transit or transit - supporting
expenditures. The Fernwood Avenue and Bullis Road Traffic Signal Improvement
Project is eligible for Prop C funding; and
WHEREAS, engineering staff requested from MTA an appropriation of funds in
the amount of $187,400 to cover the cost of construction; and
WHEREAS, on March 24, 2016, the City received a confirmation from MTA to
use Prop C funds for that section of the roadway, in the amount of $187,400, using
Prop. C fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood authorizes the City
Manager to appropriate funds from the unappropriated Prop. C fund to Fernwood
Avenue and Bullis Road Traffic Signal Improvement Project, as follows;

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City Council
Resolution.
