A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR STREET
MAINTENANCE DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR
APPROXIMATELY $57,566.
WHEREAS, the Street Maintenance Division of the Public Works
Department has many pieces of equipment that need replacement; and
WHEREAS, it is more cost effective to purchase new equipment than to
continue to repair the existing ones; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City purchase the following pieces of
equipment to be used for street maintenance and repair;

WHEREAS, staff obtained these quotes for each of the proposed pieces of
equipment, and May Tool Co. was the lowest cost vendor for each item for a total
cost of $57,566.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the
purchase of street maintenance equipment from May Tool Co. in the amount of
$57,566.
Section 2. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.

Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this City
Council Resolution.
