RESOLUTION APPROVING COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, AFSCME Local 2291 (the "Union") is the exclusive bargaining agent
on behalf of certain employees of the Borough of Carteret (the"Borough"); and
WHEREAS, There is currently in effect a collective bargaining agreement between
the Union and the Borough for the period of January 1, 1993 to December 31, 1996
(the "Contract"); and
WHEREAS, the Borough and the Union have agreed to certain modification to the
Contract for the period January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1998
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET that the attached collective bargaining
agreement for the period January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1998 is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to execute said
collective bargaining agreement on behalf of the Borough.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 8, 1998.
