3. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Parks and Recreation Commission approved the minutes from the Regular
Meeting of June 20, 2012 and received and filed the monthly reports for June
and July 2012.

5. NEW BUSINESS
A. ESTABLISHMENT OF PARKS AND OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN AD
HOC COMMITTEE
The Commission approved establishment of a Parks and Open Space
Master Plan Ad Hoc Committee to work with staff on developing strategies
and outcomes for the Master Plan as well as the Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) for consulting services. The Commission appointed
Commissioner Georgino and Chairman Fish to the committee.
B. REPORT FROM TRANSPORTATION AD HOC COMMITTEE ON THE
JULY 25, 2012 DIAL-A-RIDE MEETING
Commissioner Wong provided a report on the recent public meeting held
with Dial-A-Ride users and representatives from First Transit. The
Commission agreed with staff's recommendation to have the ad hoc
committee and staff meet again with representatives of First Transit in an
effort to reconcile issues and concerns.
C.-APPOINTMENT OF COMMISSIONERS TO SPORTS AD HOC
COMMITTEE AND CONFIRMATION OR APPOINTMENT OF NEW
LIASION TO YOUTH COMMITTEE
The Commission appointed Vice-Chairman Vigil and Commissioner
Georgino to the Sports Ad Hoc Committee and reconfirmed
Commissioner Arrighi as liaison to the Youth Committee.
6. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS
A. The Commission received and filed the Parks and Recreation Director's
Report for August 2012.

The City Council is requested to review the Parks and Recreation Commission actions

This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-13 City Budget.
