AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 596, SAME
BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS; AMENDING THE
COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN OF THE CITY OF
RICHLAND HILLS; AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
OF THE CITY OF RICHLAND HILLS; PROVIDING FOR A
CHANGE OF ZONING FROM C-2 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL)
TO I-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL} ON LOT 5-R OF THE G. M.
BEAGLE ADDITION; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
PROVIDING A SAVING CLAUSE; AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has conducted a public hearing
on October 23, 1991, in conjunction with a request for rezoning of Lot 5-R, G. M.
Slagle Addition to the City of Richland Hills, Tarrant County, Texas, and has
rendered a recommendation to the City Council with respect to same; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a public hearing on November 26,
1991, considered the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission, and
has determined that the general welfare of the area of the City affected by the
area to be changed will be enhanced by said change, as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS;

That the official zoning districts map of the City of Richland Hills, Texas, and
the Comprehensive Land Use Plan of the City of Richland Hills, being a part of
Ordinance No. 596, be amended to change the zoning district classification of the
property located at 7171 Latham Drive, more particularly described as Lot 5-R, G.
M. Slagle Addition, from its present classification as C-2 (General Commercial), to
I-1 (Light Industrial).
II.
Severability Clause. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this
ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of
this ordinance shall be declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or
decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality
shall not affect any of the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and
sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been enacted by the City
Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid or
unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
III.
Saving Clause. That Chapter 596 of the Code of Ordinances, the
Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the official zoning map for the City of Richland
. Hills, Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as
amended by this ordinance.

. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and publication as provided by the Richland Hills City Charter and the
laws of the State of Texas.
PRESENTED, GIVEN FIRST READING AND APPROVED at a regular meeting
of the Richland Hills City Council on the 26 day of NOV 1991, by a vote
of ayes, nays, and 0 abstentions.
