interview of three applicants by the City Council, with a recommendation for
selection of one person to be appointed to the Public Safety Commission.
ANALYSIS:
In light of Public Safety Commissioner Baudendistel's resignation in July, 2012, the City
advertised this vacancy with a goal of appointing a new commissioner as soon as
possible. The appointee to Public Safety Commissions will fill an unexpired term of
office ending June 30, 2013. A resolution of appointment is presented for Council's
consideration and adoption. If appointed, the appointees will receive their Oath of
Office at the City Council Meeting of September 18, 2012.
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to adopt proposed Resolution No. 12-4854 confirming
appointment of Serge Haddad with a term of office ending June 30, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-13 City Budget.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY CONFIRMING APPOINTMENT TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY
COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Serge Haddad is hereby appointed to the Public Safety Commission of the City
of Temple City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2013.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
