M. and was attended by Chairman of Council Logan, who presided: and Councilmen Sharpley, Righton, Solomon, Lovell and Cann. Council discussed the possibility of lowering tax assessments and it was finally decided that the matter be referred to the Finance Committee for them to go into the matter thoroughly and ascertain if the taxes could be lowered, for the forthcoming year, they to be impowered to act in the matter. S, P. Kehoe was appointed Town Surveyor subject to the Mayorga approval on motion made seconded and carried.. SECTION I. BE IT ORDAIN by the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah T3each, Tybee sland, Georgia, that from and after the passage of this ordinance no tr t of land shall be subdivided until a map or plan of said subdivision shall be first submitted to and approved: by the Mayor and Councilme of Savannah Beach, , Tybee Island and a copy of such subdivision map o plan, when approved shall be recorded with the Clerk of Council of vannah Beach, Tybee. M. and was attended by Mayor Bright, who presided and Councilmen Lovell, Righton, Sharpley, Cann, Solomon and Logan and Town Attorney E. P. McIntyre. The report of the Assessment Committee showing, the assessments for the year May 1st, 193?, was read as follows: Real Estates Land $ 1,122,888.00 Improvements 862,501.00 Total $ 1,995,389.00 It was moved and seconded and passed that the report of the Assessment Committee be adopted. RESOLUTION RESOLVED that the report of the Committee on Assessments of val- uations of real estate and improvements thereon in Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, for the year commencing May 1st, 193 ?, be received and the valuation as thereon assessed be adopted as the basis of assessment for taxation of real estate and improvements in said Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, for the year ending April 30th, 1938. It was moved and seconded and passed that the budget for the com- mencing May 1st, 1937 be adopted.
