AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION B., "ONE-WAY STREETS
ENUMERATED" OF SECTION 12, "ONE-WAY STREETS," OF CHAPTER
10, "TRAFFIC REGULATIONS" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY
OF RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS, REVISING THE LIST OF ENUMERATED
ONE-WAY STREETS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY CLAUSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Richland Hills, Texas:

That Subsection B. "One-Way Streets Enumerated" of Section, 12, "One-Way Streets",
of Chapter 10, "TRAFFIC REGULATIONS" of the Code of Ordinances, City of Richland Hills,
Texas, as amended, be hereby amended to hereafter be and read as follows:
B. ONE-WAY STREETS ENUMERATED
Upon those streets and parts of streets described and enumerated in this
• subsection, vehicular traffic shall move only in the direction indicated when signs
indicating the direction of traffic are erected and established at every intersection
where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited; providing, that this
subsection shall be effective only between the hours of 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on school days and when appropriate signs are in place.
(1) Norton Road from its intersection with Evergreen Road to ~
Glenview Drive, traffic to move in a northerly direction.
(2) Hardistv from its intersection with Labadie Street to its intersection
of Norton Drive, traffic to move in a westerly direction.

(3) Labadie Drive from its intersection with Evergreen Road to
Hardisty Street, traffic to move in a northerly direction.
(4) Scranton Drive from its intersection of Evergreen Road to Hardisty
Street, traffic to move in a northerly direction.
(5) Scruggs Park Drive from its intersection with Park Place Drive to
Latham Drive, traffic to move in a northerly direction.
(6) Latham Drive from its intersection with Scruggs Park Drive to
• Willow Park Drive, traffic to move in a southeast direction. j

SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City
Council that the sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are
severable, and if any phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be
declared invalid or unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent
jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases,
clauses, sentences, paragraphs and sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been
enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in this ordinance of any such invalid or
unconstitutional phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section.
III.
SAVINGS CLAUSE. That Chapter 10 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Richland
Hills, Texas, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect, save and except as amended by
this ordinance.
IV.
PENALTY. Any person violating any of the provisions of the ordinance shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of not more
than five hundred dollars ($500), unless otherwise specified in other sections of this Ordinance.
Each transaction in violation of any of the provisions hereof shall be deemed a separate offense.

V.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and publication as provided by the Richland Hills City Charter and the laws of the State i
of Texas.
VI.
PRESENTED, PASSED, AND APPROVED at a regular meeting of the Richland Hills
City Council on the .gam day of DEC by a vote of 5 ayes, ~ nays and ~ abstentions.
