SUBJECT: PLANNING COMMISSION ACTIONS - MEETING OF OCTOBER 9, 2012
RECOMMENDATION:
The City Council is requested to receive and file actions of the Planning Commission
from their meeting of October 9, 2012.
BACKGROUND:
On October 9, 2012, the Planning Commission held their regularly scheduled meeting.
ANALYSIS:
The following is a summary of actions taken at the October 9, 2012 Planning
Commission meeting.
1. ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioner- Cordes, Curran, Horton, Leung, O'Leary
Absent: Commissioner- None
2. CONSENT CALENDAR
The Planning Commission approved the minutes from their regular meeting of
September 25, 2012.

3. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. The Planning Commission continued a Conditional Use Permit and Tentative
Parcel Map for 9940 La Rosa Drive to the regular Planning Commission Meeting of
January 8, 2013.
The Planning Commission continued this item on a 5-0 vote.
4. NEW BUSINESS
A. The Planning Commission approved a Conditional Use Permit and a Zone
Variance to allow the establishment of "Quickly" restaurant for non-alcoholic
beverages and light snacks at located 9445-9445 1/2 Las Tunas Drive. A Zone
Variance was required because the shopping center provides 62 parking spaces,
instead of the required 67 parking spaces. The subject site is located in the West
Commercial (WC) district designated by the Downtown Specific Plan and is
designated as commercial by the General Plan.
The Planning Commission approved this item on a 5-0 vote.
B. COMMUNICATIONS
Director of Community Development Steven Masura announced his retirement
and thanked the City Council, City Commissions, and staff for their hard work.
C. MATTERS FROM CITY OFFICIALS — None
D. ADJOURNMENT
The Planning Commission meeting was adjourned at 8:09 p.m.

The City Council is requested to receive and file this report.

This item does not have an impact on the fiscal year (FY) 2012 — 13 City Budget.
