RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE
DISTRICT APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
1976 STATE GRANT MONEYS (MONTE BELLO
OPEN SPACE PRESERVE ACQUISITION PROJECT -
(SAN MATEO COUNTY ALLOCATION)
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted
the State, Urban, and Coastal Park Bond Act of 1976, which provides
funds to the State of California and its political subdivisions for
acquiring lands for developing facilities for public recreation and
historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been '
delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program
within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing applica-
tion by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department
of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution
the approval of applications prior to submission of said applications
to the state; and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the applicant
must comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency has entered into an agreement
with the State of California for the acquisition and/or development
of the project;
NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Directors hereby:
1. Approves the filing of this application for the San Mateo
County allocation of state grant assistance to the District; and
• 2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances in
the application; and
3. Certifies that said agency has or will have sufficient funds
to operate and maintain the project; and
4. Certifies that said agency has reveiwed and understands
the General Provisions contained in the sample state/local agreement;
and
5. Appoints the General Manager as agent of the District to
conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including
but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment
requests, and soon which may be necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned project.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Open Space District on July 26 19 78 at a
regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
AYES: R. Bishop, K. Duffy, B. Green, N. Hanko, E. Shelley,
H. Turner and D. Wendin

I, the District Clerk of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space
District, hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District by the above vote at a
meeting thereof duly held and called on the above date.
