RESOLUTION NO. 78-19
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT
AMENDING POLICY FOR THE HANDLING OF CANDIDATES
STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS AT DISTRICT •
ELECTIONS'
The Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional Open
Space District does hereby amend Resolution No. 75-16, adopted
on July 23, 1975, as follows:
Section One. All references to "Midpeninsula Regional
Park District" in Resolution No. 75-16 shall be changed to read
"Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District."
Section Two. The fifth paragraph contained within Reso-
lution No. 75-16 shall be changed to read as follows:
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District does
resolve that in those wards where two or more
candidates have qualified to appear on the ballot,
candidates' statements of qualifications, up to a
maximum of 200 words, shall, if requested, and
translation of such statements into Spanish only
for distribution to those voters requesting Spanish
translations of elections materials shall, if
requested, be provided by the District at its
expense pursuant to the Elections Code of the
State of California, and that no such candidate
shall be billed for availing himself or herself
of these services. In the case where there is a
single candidate qualified to appear on the ballot,
the District shall bill such candidate for the cost
of the candidate's statement, and all identifiable
costs of Spanish translation and distribution thereof.

RESOLUTION NO. 78-19
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula
Regional Open Space District on July 26 , 19 78 at a
regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:

B. Green, N. Hanko, D. Wendin, E. Shelley, K. Duffy and
R. Bishop
NOES: H. Turner

I, the District Clerk of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space
District, hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy
of a resolution duly adopted by the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District by the above vote at a
meeting thereof duly held and called on the above date.
