HomeMy Public PortalAbout19371105SCMeetingthe President had a fund available '-under_,t the Flood Control Act that could be used by him at his discretion, Mr. Abrahms suggested that representative citizens committee be appointed to go to Washington to see tge President and that Senators Russell and George and Congressman Petersen be requested to arrange an appointment with him so that the committee can present the matter and show how serious the damage is and regaest that he render aid under the above mentioned act or any other authority that he may have. It was moved and seconded and passed that this be done and the Mayor was authorized to appoint a committee to handle the matter. He appointed .r. 4,brahams as Chairman, Mr. Lovett, as Vice- Chairman, and Ir. _udley, as Secretary. Br.
