A Resolution Specifying the Impound Fee for Animals at the Animal Control Shelter
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Iona. Idaho (the "Council') has enacted
Section 5-0-6 of the Iona City Code, which in Subsection (G) stares that the owner of any dog
impounded at the Animal Control Shelter (as that term is defined in the Iona City Code) shall be
required to pay -an impound fee in the amount determined by the resolution of the Council": and
WHEREAS the Council has also enacted Section 5-3-12 of the Iona City Cade, which in
Subsection (G) states that the owner of any animal impounded at the Animal Control Shelter (as
that term is defined In the lona City Code) shall be required to pay "an impound fee in the amount
determined by the resolution of the Council-: and
WHEREAS the Council has been provided with the anticipated charges It will incur fro
the Animal Control Shelter utilized by the City; and
WHEREAS the Council desires to relate the impound fee to the charges the City is required
to pay the Animal Control Shelter:
NOW THEREI'ORE, BE II' RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
TI IE CITY OI' IONA, IDAHO:
The Council hereby specifies that the impound fee for dogs, as described in and
required by Iona City Code ¢ 5-8-6(G), is S , which must be paid
before any impounded dog may be released to its owner and which the Animal Control
Shelter (as defined in the Iona City Code) is authorized to collect on behalf of the City.
2. The Council hereby specifics that the impound fee for animals (other than dogs), as
described in and required by lona City Code$5-3-12(0), is ,which
must be paid before any impounded animal may be released to its owner and which the
Animal Control Shelter (as defined In the Iona City Code) is authorized to collect on
behalf of the City.
