CITY OF TYBEE ISLAND
June 14, 2012
5:00 P.M.
ATTENDEES: Paul Wolff, Diane Schleicher, Tom Groover, Barry Brown and Joe
Wilson.
Approve the minutes of the previous meeting – Paul states that Tom Groover motioned to
approve the minutes; Barry Brown seconded; vote was unanimous; we have come to
order.

I. HISTORIC BUTLER AVENUE TE GRANT
A. Project Status Update
a. Review Revised Concept Plan
b. Review Revised Budget per Infrastructure Committee
Recommendation
1. Handouts passed out with the budget of $129,030 with no
contingencies built in.
c. Revised Concept Plan Sent to Moreland Altobelli (GDOT Consultant)
1. Diane Schleicher states that she just received word today that
the concept plan has been reviewed and accepted which
means we’re on track to hopefully get a reasonable bid time.
II. 14th Street Parking Lot Reconfiguration Update
a. Joe Wilson and Danny are reviewing plan in the field
1. Looking at the site plan, Joe Wilson explains that he and Danny
Carpenter have revised the plan somewhat due to utility poles, etc.
Between 15th St. and 14th St. parking lot there are a total of 63
parking spaces which will be additional parking revenue.
2. Joe states he will get with the contractor and see when they can
start this project. The overall opinion is to wait until September as
opposed to losing the parking revenue in July; this will be
discussed at the July meeting.
b. Current FY14 budget for project is $45,000 including in-house costs.
III. HISTORIC RAILS TO TRAILS TE GRANT
a. In process with executing contract with Thomas & Hutton
b. Next step is to meet with Georgia Power to coordinate project
c. Put project on new grant tracking system due to the potential multiple
facets for funding
With no further business to discuss, Paul Wolff asked for a motion to
adjourn. Barry Brown motioned to adjourn. Tom Groover seconded.
A quorum of city council members may be present which would constitute a meeting.
