A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA; RECOGNIZING
KEY BISCAYNE PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS LOCAL
3638, IAFF, AS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
REPRESENTATIVE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the Key Biscayne Professional Firefighters Local 3638, IAFF, desires to
represent the employees in the proposed bargaining unit consisting of Firefighter/Paramedics and
Fire Lieutenants only; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council (the "Council") of the Village of Key Biscayne, after
reviewing the proposed bargaining unit, finds that it is an appropriate bargaining unit for purposes
of collective bargaining.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recognition. That the Council hereby recognizes the Key Biscayne
Professional Firefighters Local 3638, IAFF, as the collective bargaining representative of the
employees in the proposed bargaining unit consisting of Firefighter/Paramedics and Fire Lieutenants
only.
Section 2. Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately
upon adoption hereof.
