HomeMy Public PortalAboutGAC Minutes 1992 12/02GOLF COURSE ADVISORY COMMITTEE MINUTES December 2, 1992 Attending: Kay Larson, Chairman Ted Whiteman DeEtt McCarty Frank Brown Jeff Goodman Charles Denham Bill Burgess Bob East Chairman Larson call the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. ROLL CALL: All Committee member were present MINUTES: Ted Whiteman moved to approve the minutes of November 11, 1992 as presented. McCarty seconded and the motion carried. NEW BUSINESS: Chairman Larson introduced the new committee member, Jeff Goodman. 1. Assign Committee Members to Future Planning: After some discussion about planning future course operations, the Committee developed a list of categories to work with. Larson asked the Committee to consider which category would suit them to work with. Committee will break these down and assign member at next meeting. 2. Future Golf Course Irrigation: Committee discussed pros and cons of renovating the irrigation system. Benefits would include labor cost savings, using proper amounts of water for specific applications, and better coverage for rough areas to name a few. The Committee as a whole believes that having an engineer design a proper system and having it installed right is the only alternative. OLD BUSINESS: 1. Request for Proposals - Restaurant: Chairman Larson informed the Committee of the new R.F.P. form and showed some ideas on how the numbers might work. He asked that the Committee members try to attend the pre -proposal conference on January 7, 1993. 2. Fee Schedule: Chairman Larson asked Committee to consider all fees for the Golf Course and recommend at next meeting. 3. Rules and Regulations: This item will be discussed at next meeting. 4. Golf Pro Contract: Carl Hoss asked that Committee consider this item at the next meeting. 5. Cart Storage: Frank Brown reported that the Men's Association is appointing a committee to work with Tom Haynes and himself to try to resolve this situation. 6. Road Intersecting Clubhouse Drive: Planning and Zoning Commission did not discuss this topic at last meeting. 7. Clubhouse Railing: Frank Brown reported that the Men's Association is asking for bids from a few different metal works shops.
