AN ORDINANCE OF THE crry OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING CHAPTER 7
(BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS) ARTICLE I (GENERALLY), SECTION 7-1
(APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS) and ARTICLE XI,
(USS JEFFERSON CITY SUBMARINE COMMITTEE), SECTION 7-291 (MEMBERS,
TERMS: APPOINTMENT; OFFICERS) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1 Section 7-1 (A ointment of members of boards and commissions)
is hereby amended as follows:
See. 7-1. Appointment of number~of boards and Commissions.

Section 2. Section 7-291 (Members Terms: Appointment, Officers) is hereby
amended as follows:
Sec. 7-291. Members, Terms; Appointment, Officers.

U. The citizen's terin of office shall lie three years. Upon creation of'this commission,
the mayor shall name one citizen fora three year appointment,nne citizen for at two year appointment,
and one citizen fora one year appointment. The council member~hall be appointed by the nulyor on
a yearly basis.
C. Appointment ofpersons to serve on the committee shalf lie made by the mayor with
the advice and consent ol'a matjority ol'the city council. The mayor, with a majority vote of'tile city
council,may remove any member or the committee lirr failure or inability to attend meetings,or for
other good cause shown. A vacancy on the committee sllall be filled by appointment and approval in
like manner for the unexpired portion or the term.
D. The USS.lefferson City submarine committee shall elect.at its first nlectinp,,in each
fiscal year and from among Its resident nlctlnburs, a chairman. it vice chairman and it secretary-
treasurer. Such officers shall be eligible to succeed themselves at the will of'tile commission.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage and approval.
