AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI,AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT
WITH BARTLETT AND WEST ENGINEERS FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE ROUTE T
SEWER EXTENSION AND AUTHORIZING SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION OF SURPLUS
FUNDS.
WHEREAS, Bartlett and West Engineers has become the apparent lowest and best bidder on
the Route T Sewer Extension Project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The bid of Bartlett and West Engineers is declared to be the lowest and best
bid and is hereby accepted.
Section 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter an agreement
with Bartlett and West Engineers for the Route T Sewer Extension Project.
Section 3. There is hereby supplemental appropriated within the Wastewater Fund
Surplus to the Wastewater Capital Project Account the net amount $50,000 as outlined in
Exhibit A attached hereto, for the Route T Sewer Extension Project.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage and approval.

Scope of Services
BASK SERVICES
Route T Sewer Proicct
The Engineer will provide the i'ollo%ving services.
"Task I.Preliminary Layout
a. Review Aerial Photography and Topographic Mal) to cstablish preliminary
alignment.
1). Obtain and review all recorded surveys along the 1)ro.jcct corridor,
c. Walk alignment 111 field to locatc manholes and confirm proposed allgillilellt.
d. Search for property corners to be included ill the design survey.
Task 2. Topographic Survey of Proposed Alignment
a. Establish horizontal and vertical control 16r pr() t.
b. Call One Call to establish approximate location 01'CXisti►1g utilities and survey
the locations as established by the. utilities.
e. Locate the topographic features within the project Corridor inclUdirig (litChCS,
creeks, streets, utilities, CXIStillg 011-Site SC\VCI etc,

corridor.
Task I Final Design and Plan Preparation
a. Develop design flow Im the proposed se\vcr based on existing flow to the
Verdant Acres Litt Station and projected 11ows from Cedar Glade, Rose Ridge
Subdivision and undeveloped land within the project drainage basin.
1). Develop preliminary plan and profile plans from the topographic survey.
c. Detail all connections to existing sewers.

easements.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Any work requested by the City that is not included in the Basic Services will be classified
