Constable of the Town of Brewster
Greetings:
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby
directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Brewster
qualified to vote in Town affairs to meet in the Nauset Regional
Middle School gymnasium on Wednesday, the thirtieth day of June
next at seven thirty o'clock in the evening, then and there to act
on the following articles:
ARTICLE 1 . To see if the Town will vote to raise and aD-Qro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of Four Hundred and
Sixteen 00/100 (° 416.00) Dollars to fund the salary of the Depart-
vent of Public Works Laborer, PW-7, for fiscal year ending June 30,
1977.
ARTICLE 2. To see if the To-om will vote to raise and aD-oro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of Nine Thousand and
Six 00/100 ($9,006.00) Dollars and transfer this amount to the
Insurance Account for fiscal year ending June 30, 1977, in order
to fund additional insurance premium relative to coverage on the
New Elementary School, payment is due on or before March 6, 1977.
ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of Seven Thousand, One
Hundred, Eighty-eight 00/100 ($7,188.00) Dollars to fund Brewster's
share of the cost of construction of a Bikeway from Orleans to
terminate at Nickerson State Park in Brewster.
ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of Eleven Thousand, Five
Hundred, Sixty-three 00/100 ($11,563.00) Dollars for construction
of a Bikeway from Orleans to terminate at Millstone Road, Brewster.
ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the
Selectmen to execute an instrument of release to Heritage Develop-
ment Corp. whereby the Town of Brewster, located in Barnstable
County, Massachusetts will relinquish any rights it acquired in
a water easement in Lots 47 & 48 on Stonehenge Drive, Brewster,
Massachusetts as shown on a plan recorded in the Barnstable County
Registry of Deeds in Plan Book 291, Page 39 by virtue of an in-
strument dated 15 July 1974 and recorded in Barnstable in Book
2070, Page 293 in exchange for a water easement from said corpora-
tion to the said Town over a specific portion of Lot 48 as shown
on a detail entitled: t°Sketch Plan of Land in Brewster, Ma. for
Heritage Development Corp. being Lot 48 as shown on plan for
Heritage Development Corp. dated June 1973 by Nickerson & Berger,
Englrs. May 11, 1976, Scale: 1°' = 401 Nickerson & Berger, Inc.
Englrs. Orleans, Ma.11 said sketch being on file in the Town Clerk's
office; or take any other action relative thereto.
ARTICLE 6. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of One Thousand, One
Hundred, Twenty 00/100 ($1.,120.00) Dollars, and transfer this amount
to account #9106 in fiscal 1977 Elementary School Budget for tuition
of Brewster children in the special needs children summer school in
Orleans, and take any other action relative thereto.

ARTICLE 7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and aDnro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of Five Hundred, Sixty-
two 00/100 ($562.00) Dollars, and transfer this amount to account
#3304 in fiscal 1977 Elementary School Budget for transportation
of Brewster children in the special needs children summer school
in Orleans, and take any other action relative thereto.
ARTICLE 8. To see if the To�Am will vote to raise and appro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of Fifteen Hundred 00/100
($1,300.00) Dollars, and transfer this amount to account #9106 in
fiscal 1977 Elementary School Budget for tuition of a Brewster
child in Orleans Elementary School, and take any other action rela-
tive thereto.
ARTICLE 9. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate or transfer from Free Cash the sum of One Thousand, Eight
Hundred 00/100 ($1,800.00) Dollars to be used for the Brewster
children being served by the Cape Cod Islands Child Development
Program, Inc. (Head Start) . Such funds to be spent under the
direction of the Board of Selectmen. (by petition)
ARTICLE 10. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Per-
sonnel By-Law Section XII, 1.3 - Town Accountant, Regular Full-time,
CAF VII, by deleting the item in its entirety and substituting the
following.
Town Accountant, Regular Full-time, CAF VII - $13,645.84
ARTICLE 11. To see if the Town will vote to amend the Per-
so?vnel By-Law Section XII, 1.3 - Deputy Assessor, Regular Full-time,
CAF VISI, by deleting the item in its entirety and substituting the
following:
DeDuty Assessor, Regular Full-time, CAF VIII - $12,500.00
ARTICLE 12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate a sum of money to fund the increase in the Deputy Assessor' s
salary account for fiscal year ending June 30, 1977.
ARTICLE 13. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate a sum of money by borrowing or otherwise, for the acquisition
of land by purchase or taking by eminent domain, for recreational
use including the construction of a municipal golf course, as shown
on a plan dated January 20, 1976 prepared by Schofield Brothers, Inc.
and approved by the Planning Board on January 20, 1976, said plan
being on file in the Town Clerk' s office, plus a sum of money suf-
ficient to pay interest on any bonds or notes issued hereunder, or
take any other action relative thereto.
ARTICLE 14. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro-
priate a su, of money by borrowing or otherwise, for the construction
of a municipal golf course including the construction of buildings
and the cost of original equipment and furnishings as shown on a
plan dated January 20, 1976 prepared by Schofield Brothers, Inc. , and
approved by the Planning Board on January 20, 1976, said plan being
on file in the Town Clerk's office, plus a sum of money sufficient
to pay interest on any bonds or notes issued hereunder, or take any
other action relative thereto.
ARTICLE 15. To see if the Town will vote to approve the crea-
-'tion of a Brewster Municinal Golf Commission consisting of six
members to be appointed by the Board of Selectmen, such Commission
to supervise the construction of an eighteen hole golf course and
the subsequent operation of the same. Members to be appointed by
the Board of Selectmen for a term of two (2) years with vacancies
to be filled by the Selectmen.

ARTICLE 16. To see zf the Town of Brewster will vote to re-
cind the action taken under Article #14 in the Annual Town Meeting
held May 10, 1976, in the Nauset Middle School, to restrict hunting
in the Town of Brewster. (by petition)

Brewster, do hereby certify that I served the Warrant for the Special
Town. Meeting of June 30, 1976, by posting attested copies thereof in
five public places in different parts of the Town, in accordance with
the Town By-Laws, on June 9th, 1976.
