The State Primary was held on Tuesday, September 14, 1976. In accordance =A-1th
the ?Tarrant, it was held at the Brewster Town Hall. Polls were opened from
10:00 a.m. to 8:00 n.m. The return of the Warrant was read by the Tose. Clerk,
Ruth Bddy. The following Llection Officers were sworn in: Paul Sylver, June
Gallant, Gladys Curtis, Doris Powell, J. Ogden Tylsdley, Jr. , Polly Le-aline,
William Kai.te and Mae Olsen. The police Officers on the ballot box were,
David Carlson, Scott Biathrou and William Heyd.
There were 472 votes cast, 124. Republicans and 348 Democrats. The results were
as follows:
