ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE CODE
PERTAINING TO SECTION 22-15A, PARKING OF TRUCKS, BUSES, ETC., ARTICLE I.
GENERALLY OF CHAPTER 22, PARKING, STOPPING AND STANDING.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1 . The following section of Chapter 22, Parking, Stopping and Standing,
Article 1. Generally, Section 22-15(A) is amended as follows:
Sec. 22-15, Parking of certatin trucks,buses,l etc.
A. No operator of a tuck.tractor, trailer. tractor-trailer or Nis shall hark such vchicic
on the streets or parts ther•coll.l designated by ordinance.
B. No operator ol'a truck having a capacity ofonc and one-haI I•tons or .greater,tractor,
trailer, tractor-trailer or bus shall park such vehicle at any place on the streets. or parts thcreofl.l
designated by ordinance.
C. No operator ol'a hus ot'a capacity in excess of nine(9)passengers shall park such
vehicle at any point on the streets.or parts lhereol•. designated by ordinance.
D. No operator or the following; described vehicles shall park such vehicle on any
street or public right-of-way in any residential area ol,this oily rolled for single-family nr two-family
residential use.

F. No person in charge or in contiol of any property in any arca of the City zoned for
residential use shall park or allow to be parked any tractor,trailer or tractor-trailer,orally Connllcrcial
nlolor vehicle licensed lilt•a gross weight in excess ol'twenty four thousand pounds(2.1,000)on such
property.
(1. Vehicles which are otherwise prohibiled from using;or parking on Certain streets by
subsections(a)-(f)above shall be perlrlitted to use and park on lho�e streets when they arc engaged
in delivet•y or pick up of goods and sclvices or when the vehicle is used for the purpose of
construction, renovation,or repairs to it property within T%%o Ifundrecl feet of the place where
file vehicle isnurke rl while such construction, renovation,or repairs is in progress.
If. For the purposes of this section,the term"area of the cite zoned for residential
use" shall mean any such area as shown on file Jefferson (.RY Zoning Map mid where the
boundary of any such zone is on it public street, the term shall also include both sides of such
street. For the purposes of this section the term "vehicle" shall include any motor vehicle or
trailer.

sunrise shall either:
I. lie guarded by it flagman or clearly visible warning signs; or
2. 1lsrve displayed on the rear thrt cofan emblem as described in,send displayed as provided
in this subsection. The emblem required by this subsection shall be of substantial construction,
and shall be it basedown equilateral triangle of fluorescent yellow-orange film or equivalent
quality paint with.1 base of not less than fourteen inches and an altitude of not less than twelve
inches.Such triangle shall be bordered with reflective red sir•ips having a minimum width of one
and flu•ee-fourths inches, with the vertices of file overall triangle truncated such that the
remaining altitude shall be a mininnnu of fourteen inches.Such emblem shall he mounted on the
rear of such vehicle near the horizontal geometric center of the rearmost vehicle at a height of
not less than four feet above the roadway,and shall be maintained in a clean,reflective condition.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of
its passage and approval.
