In accordance with the ;warrant the ' State . Election was held Tuesday,
November 2, 1976 at the Town Hall. The Polls were opened from 10:00 a.m. to
8:00 p.m. The following Election Officers sere sworn in: Paul Sylver,
Torothy Grenier, Wilbert Waite, Joan Samry, Richard Kingston, J. Ogden
Tyldsley, Jr. Gladys Curtis and Doris Powell. The counters who came in at
5:30 p.m. were: Polly Labalme, Steven Chilton, June Gallant, Robert Clark,
Roy E. Jones III, Hugo Frederickson, Margaret Macaulay$ Joan Paine and Jean
Gage, Dorothea Dugan, Daniel Kelly, Dior -Dugan, .Stephen Hopkins. The Police
officers who were on duty were William Feyd, Henry Langelier and David Seaman.
The total number of votes cast were 2636.
The results were as follows:
