ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY 017 JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING THE OFFICIAL
NAME OF STATE ROUTE B HIGHWAY BETWEEN TANNER BRIDGE ROAD AND ELLIS
BOULEVARD TO BE "LORENZO GREENE DRIVE"
WHEREAS, a section of Missouri Route B will be transferred to the City of Jefferson for
ownership and maintenance purposes as a result Of the extension Of Missouri Highway 179;
and
WHEREAS, the section will no longer bear a state TOLJt01 designation rind should be assigned a city-
style street name; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to bring the matter to resolution, having ensured compliance
with Section 25-40:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The right-of-way shown as "Existing Route B", between Stations 6+57.32 to
Station 684-69.69 on the Highway Improvement Plans designated as Route 179, Coln County,
MoDOT Job No. J5U0441J, and referenced in the MLIIIiCip�ll Agreernent with Missouri Highways
and Transportation Commission approved by Ordinance No. 13496, shall be named "Lorenzo
Greene Drive" in honor of Dr. Lorenzo J. Greene.
Section 2. This street name shall appear in official documents and sites, including street
name signs, and city street inaps shall be modified, whore neodod, to reflect this change.
Section 3.Affected property owners, goverrinient entities, and other interested parties shall
be notified of this change.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be in full farce an(] effect from and after the data of its
passage and approval.
