AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 13765 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNSELOR TO TAKE SUCH ACTIONS AS
MAY BE NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE ISSUE FROM THE BALLOT.
WHEREAS, on August 23rd, 2004, the City Council of the City of Jefferson passed
Ordinance No. 13765 authorizing a referendum on the issue of Local Use Tax to be
placed on the election ballot of November 2, 2004; and
WHEREAS, having reconsidered the matter, Council believes that this issue should not be
placed on the ballot at this time.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 13765 is hereby repealed.
Section 2. The City Counselor is hereby authorized to take such actions as may be
necessary to remove the issue called for in ordinance 13765 from the
ballot.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
