AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE
PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL FOR THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE OF JEFFERSON CITY,
MISSOURI
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1 Section 13-2. Sick Leave of the Personnel Policy Manual for the
Municipal service of Jefferson City, Missouri, is hereby amended as follows:
Section 13-2. When taken.
Sick leave with pay will be granted for absence from duty I)MILIS01 01,,.iciuol personal illness,
non-cornponsable bodily injury or disease, eXI)OSLirel 10 it C011tilgiOLis disease, or to keep
doctor or dentist appointment. Employees may use up to nine days oath year for illness in
tho employee's immediate family whose principal residence is in the. ornplOYCO'S household
and parents even if not residing with the employee, provided no one else is available to care
for the individual involved. Excoptions to this provi.sion may be granted by Ilia department
director with the approval of the City Administrator if the employee IMS no accumulated comp
time or vacation lime.
Sick leave shall not be granted in cases where regular retirement, disability retirement or
long-term disability insurance has been approved.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage arid approval.
