After review and amendment, Hormaechea moved to recommend that the city approve the plans and specifications and call for bids for the food and beverage concession for the clubhouse. Williamson seconded and the motion carried. Minutes The minutes of the January meeting were filed by the chair as presented without objection. Whispering Forest The Committee will schedule a special meeting for Thursday February 21, possibly at 5:00 p.m., to review the plan. Clubhouse Repair Staff updated the committee on the process for securing estimates on the work. The committee's consensus was that if retrofitting the building with a dry system was feasible in the Council's judgement they would support that alternative. Tee Signs Meadows Valley Sign Company representatives discussed replacing tee markers at no cost to the city, and exhibited a sample of their work. This program allows the company to place ads on the markers and sell them to a sponsor for $350 for a three year period. D & D Land Trade The committee reviewed the line that Max Williamson and Joel Droulard had drawn. After review and amendment, they proposed to counter offer the property outlined on the attached map. Williamson moved to recommend that a counter offer be proposed to D & D Lands and that the city agree to pay half of the appraisal done by the Real Estate Consulting Group ($3500). Hormaechea seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Trail Fees/Cart Storage Fees There was no committee report and this item was moved to the February 21 agenda. Contract Negotiations Staff reported on progress of the negotiations and reviewed changes in the agreement. The committee's proposal for a $30,000 first year fee has been countered by a proposal for a $35,000 fee for one year, the fee to be renegotiated at the end of a year and a five year contract term. Williamson moved that the committee recommend the contract as negotiated and advise the team and Council that a final fee between $30,000 - $35,000 was acceptable to the committee. Hormaechea seconded and the motion carried. The committee is concerned that delay in negotiating this contract are imposing undue costs and risking the 1991 operations. West One Lifetime Pass Hormaechea reported on disposition and discussed proposals with the committee. With committee direction, he will review the committee's suggestion with Mr. Colburn. Junior Tournament Mr. Hoss advised he is scheduling an IGA sanctioned Junior Tournament for Monday, June 24. Williamson moved to approve this tournament. Hormaechea seconded and the motion carried. Next Meeting Special Meeting: February 21 Regular Meeting: March 12 Respectfully Submitted, Dave Engen Chairman
