ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, DECLARING CERTAIN
PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF SAID PROPERTY.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
ctL 1. 1"he Council of the City of J,nfferson, Missouri, finds that certain property in the
custody of the Finance Department described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, is surplus property,
and as such represents a burdensome cost for storage and maintenance, and that the property
Is no longer needed for any public purpose.
_$grtian 2. The Finance Department is hereby authorized to advertise for bid the item
described in Exhibit A for sale, and to sell the property to the highest bidder at public auction.
SS ec ion a. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage and approval.

Re: 2003 Surplus Property Sale
'fhc Council is asked to declare certain city owned property surplus and authorize its sale
either by scaled bid or aucti011 each year. A listing ol`all items submitted as surplus from cash
depamnent has been attached. The listing for this year is much smaller than in past years because
the sale was held later than usual in 2002 to accommodate the renovation project and ('ewer capital
purchases were approved for the 20022-2003 budget. Proceeds are expected to be much lower this
year.
