until June 13, 1968, by the Moderator due a lack of quorum.

REPORT OF SPECIAL TOWN 1 E ETIXG
June 13, 1968
In accordance with the Warrant, the meeting was held in
the Torn Hall, Thursday evening, June 1.3, 1968 .
The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 P.M. by the Moderator
Grant W. Koch. A Quorum was present. L silent prayer for those
who have recently lost their lives in the service of their
country was held.
The return of the warrant was read by the Town. Clerk, Donald
P. Consodiae, with the exceptions of the articles, which were
read as they were considered for action.
ARTICLE 1 . To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of
money from the Old Age Assistance account to the Medical
Assistance account.
Voted unanimously to transfer the sum of twenty five hundred
dollars ( 12500.00) from. the Old Age Assistance account to
the Kedical Assistance account.
ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sure
of money from the A. .D.C. account to the Medical Assistance
account.
Voted unanimously to transfer the sum of two thousand dollars
( 02000.00 ) from the A.r.D.C. (Aid to Families with Dependent
Childwa) account to the Hadical Assistance account
ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of
money from free cash in the Treasury to Medical Assistance
account.
Voted to postpone this article indefinitely.

prior to the holding of the same.
Voted unanimously to rescind the actions taken under Article
64 of the _`arch 5,. 1957 annual Town meeting.
ARTICLE 8. To act on any other business that may legally come
before said meeting.

the approved copy of an Act authorizing the Town of Brewster
to construct a footbridge in said To-7m, over Paine ' s Creek.

On this date the Commonwealth of Massachusetts takes over
Welfare Departments in the s tate. Boards of Public Welfare
are abolished as of this date.
July 1, 1968
Xrs. Lora n -F-arnald, Director of Public Ielfare for the Town
for 15 years, retired from public service effective today.

men held on July 1 , 1968, Kent H. Sanders was elected to fill
the vaca_icy caused by the resignation of 1,1alcolm L. Letts.
