ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, RESCINDING ORDINANCE
13623, AND ENACTING A NEW ORDINANCE IN LIEU THEREOF TO ESTABLISH PRIMARY
AND GENERAL ELECTION DATES IN THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, FOR 2004.
BE IT ENACT-ED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Ordinance 13623, onactod by the City of Jefferson, Missouri, on October 6,
2003, is hereby rescinded.
Section 2. Pursuant to Chapter 115 RSMo., Municipal Elections are hereby established
as follows:
(a) A Primary Election shall be held Tuesday, February 3, 2004, if needed,
(b) A General Election shall be held Tuesday, April 6, 2004,
(c) The City Clerk shall notify the County Election Authority of the candidates
for office and election dates.
(d) One member from each of the five Wards shall be elected in accordance with the
Charter and Code of the City of Jefferson, Missouri
Section 3. Declarations of Candidacy for and Candidate Endorsement Forms must be
filed with the City Clerk between 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 142-1-, 2003, and 5:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, November 18, 2003,
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
